Pre-Rip Up the Road Balanced Breakfast

Pre-Ride Breakfast

Got a great looking morning with dry air and bright sun shining through the window.

Great biking day through the window

We’ll see about the “rip it up” line, but just thinking about it will give me a good smile while I’m on the bike later this morning with good man Ken from the next town over.

But first, gas in the tank that I expect to keep me going for 40 or so miles (I’ll follow up when I get back). Coffee (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY – for me) that’s actually half coffee, half milk, a shot of cinnamon, and a spoon of fresh whipped cream (I don’t leave home without it). Then toasted flaxseed bread (one of the only breads I’ve found without added sugar – tastes great) with homemade almond/peanut butter and small spread of pumpkin butter. Along with the toast, fresh fruit – this morning, chopped papaya (which I got perfectly ripe from the discount rack at the grocery store – great buy, great flavor!), raspberries, and sliced fresh fig all topped with plain non-fat Greek yogurt (3-4 times the protein content of regular yogurt), a shot of whipped cream, and chopped date, dried prune, and dried apricot.
