It’s great for parents and kids themselves when kids learn to become independent in the kitchen. Preparation Time: 5 minutes

 Needed

  • 3 Ounce Can of Tuna (I like tuna packed in water because it’s lighter than tuna packed in oil. For kid-safety, use a tuna can with a pull-tab top. I’ve only seen pull-tabs on 3-ounce, single serving tuna cans. And even though those cans are comparatively more expensive to buy and, from what I’ve seen, usually come in packages of 3, they’re actually very efficient because they satisfy the need for a single serving without leaving leftovers that are sometime not a lot of fun to find left over.)
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise (To make the tuna salad low fat without any sacrifice in flavor, use no fat or low fat mayonnaise.)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Relish
  • Tablespoon
  • Fork
  • Bowl
