Halloween Ride to the Wayside Inn

Who says we older kids have to miss out on trick-or-treating? No way!

Took a terrific Halloween ghostly grey sky ride to the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA this afternoon. Passed Week’s Cemetery at the corner of Sudbury and Concord Roads in Marlborough.

Buzzed by this eye-catching 1790 house on Rt. 62 with fence posts that are always decorated with pumpkins this time of year. Terrific!

Then leaned my bike where an etched slate marking says George Washington and many patriots only 238 years ago hitched their horses while stopping at the Wayside Inn during the Revolutionary War. Great sights, great history, appropriate Halloween weather – just one of those magical moments that makes cycling all it can be! Happy Halloween!
