Baguette Full-On – All French and All Fun!

Stage 4 finish & baguette full-on

Another stunning win by Marcel Kittel – hey, the guy’s won three of the first four stages of  the Tour – with incredible strength and speed. And this was the first stage (section) of this year’s Tour in France from Le Touquet-Paris-Plage to Lille Metropole. Terrific!

All right! The Tour’s now in France. So how ’bout something, well, simply French?

Baguette Full-OnThe first time I remember having a baguette like the one you see here was during my first touring trip on a bike – through the Loire Valley in France. Man, what a trip! One night we parked it on a soccer field, bought baguettes and fantastic local specialties in the shops surrounding the field – cheeses, cold cuts, liver pâté, mustard and more – then had a fantastically fun, improvised dinner and ended up by invited/allowed to sleep soundly right on that field under the stars. Great!

Click any picture you see here for a step-by-step picture book recipe, although the real deal is having a baguette – or any kind of bread – the way you want it to suit your taste. The bottom line is just grip, rip,…

Breaking baguette…and lay it on the way you want!
